It seems like everyone wants to go to Walt Disney World. This makes it pretty crowded very often, and no one likes crowds. Crowds mean longer lines and less getting to do what you want. But, Disney has come up with a solution. This is their Fastpass+ system! Fastpasses are reservations to get into a different line so you have a shorter wait. You are allowed to book three Fastpasses ahead of time per day. Once you have used them up, you are allowed to book more one at a time.

Everyone with a theme park ticket is allowed to get Fastpasses, but when you can reserve them depends on where you are staying. If you are staying at one of Disney World’s hotels or one they are affiliated with, then you can book your them 60 days in advance of the first day of your vacation. You are also able to book Fastpasses for the whole length of your trip at the same time. If you are staying off Disney property, then you are allowed to book Fastpasses 30 days before the first day of your trip. You will not be allowed to book Fastpasses for the entirety of your trip the first day it opens but will have to come back each following day at the 30-day mark to book the rest of the days of your trip.

In almost every park, the attractions are put into tiers based on popularity. This way, you won’t be able to book all the most popular attractions and gives people a fair chance of getting Fastpasses for them. Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios use this method. In Magic Kingdom, however, you can choose whatever rides you want for your three Fastpasses.

I recently went on a trip with some family who isn’t as familiar with Disney as my immediate family so when it came to booking Fastpasses, it was a little confusing. So, I made up a list of all the rides that offer Fastpasses! Just like we did with our Attractions list, I printed a list out for each family member and we all talked and highlighted the rides we wanted for Fastpasses. In a group of seven, that made the process a whole lot easier. I attached links to the lists below so you can see all the rides together and help make a decision. Hopefully, this will be a helpful tool to help make your trip and planning as magical as it can be!
